  • Downtown Guided Walking Tours, 10:30am-12:00pm; July 28th, August 11th, August 25th, September 8th, September 22nd, and October 27th.
  • Cemetery Guided Walking Tours, 4:00pm-5:30pm; August 19th  and September 16th.
  • Halloween-themed Cemetery Guided Walking Tour, 5:00pm-6:30pm; October 28th and 29th.

This is a comment/question for Cathy Griffin; I very much enjoy reading the “100/110 Years ago” column and have a question on the most recent one (July23 edition); The article on the Manistee RR bridge fire refers to …”one bend in the bridge burning”. My guess is that the word “bend” should be “bent” as that would be the correct term for a bridge support. My question is was “bend” the actual word printed in the RE back then? May sound alike a petty question but I looked the word up and see that “bend” seems to refer to type of knots-not a structural member. Maybe just a typo back then.
    Also, I presume that Conductor Phil is no relation to you : )
